About Craig & Cindi

Real-life ExperienceYour American Guides

We're Craig & Cindi. We’re Americans who decided we didn’t want our “someday in Italy” to stay on the bucket list forever.

We know what it’s like to:

  • Be drawn to Italy’s pace, food, culture, and sense of community.
  • Also worry about money, health care, family back home, and “what if this is a huge mistake?”
  • Sit at a kitchen table in the U.S. surrounded by printouts, browser tabs, and half-conflicting advice from the internet.

We’ve gone through many of the same things you’re thinking about now—scouting trips, confusing paperwork, helping our families understand what we’re doing, and figuring out what a life split between the U.S. and Umbria actually looks like.

We bring that experience into our work with you by:

  • Translating your questions into a clear plan. We’re good at taking a jumble of “what ifs” and turning them into concrete options and next steps.
  • Being honest about trade-offs. Italy is wonderful. It’s also slower, more bureaucratic, and less “on demand” than the U.S. We’ll tell you where that feels magical and where it can be maddening.
  • Normalizing the emotional side. Second-guessing yourself, worrying about kids or grandkids, or wondering if it’s “selfish” to move—these are all normal thoughts. We’ve had them too.
  • Staying alongside you. From the first Zoom call to walking with you in a piazza, our role is to help you feel more confident, more informed, and more yourself in this process.

If you’ve ever thought,

“We need someone who gets where we’re coming from,”

that’s our job.
